Kellie McKee has 15 years of civil litigation experience, with expertise in municipal law, ad valorum tax issues, land use and zoning, civil rights, tort litigation, employment law, real estate, construction law, and commercial litigation. Ms. McKee serves as defense counsel for a number of cities through appointment by the Texas Municipal League Intergovernmental Risk Pool in litigation involving civil rights, employment/labor law and tort claims in both state and federal courts. In addition, Ms. McKee assists on a broad range of matters for all of the Firm’s municipal and local governmental clients.

Ms. McKee currently serves as the City Attorney for the City of Glenn Heights. Ms. McKee also acts as Assistant General Counsel for the Dallas, Denton, Hunt, Kaufman, Erath, Ellis, and Tarrant County Appraisal Districts.

Ms. McKee is a graduate of Southern Methodist University – Dedman School of Law. During law school, she clerked for the Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, and she also worked in the SMU Civil Law Clinic.

Before becoming a lawyer, Kellie earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Management with a concentration in Healthcare Administration and worked as a health care administrator. Her background in healthcare provides her with an understanding of the often-complex medical, insurance, compliance, and billing issues in the cases she defends.

Kellie is licensed to practice in Texas. She has also been admitted to the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
